CHERRY gSMC-KT-2.1 – ECC-enabled security card
The CHERRY gSMC-KT 2.1 is an ECC-enabled, device-specific security card for the unique identification of an eHealth card terminal within the telematics infrastructure. It can be used in gematik-approved eHealth card terminals with a card slot in ID-000 format.
Once inserted, the security card is protected against tampering by a tamper-evident seal. To reduce administrative effort for institutions, CHERRY Support informs registered users well in advance of the card's expiration date.
Unique device identification
The CHERRY gSMC-KT 2.1 enables the unique identification of an eHealth card terminal within the telematics infrastructure. The security card is used as a Security Module Card in ID-000 format.
Validity and expiry service
The security card is valid for five years from the date of production or four years from the date of delivery. Registered users will be contacted by CHERRY Support before the card expires.
ECC and RSA algorithms
The CHERRY gSMC-KT 2.1 supports both ECC and RSA algorithms.
gematik approval
Compatible with all gematik-approved eHealth card terminals (see the current gematik list at www.gematik.de). Also required for using a gematik-approved eHealth card terminal within the telematics infrastructure.

- Using the gSMC-KT version 2.1 with the eGK keyboard G87-1505 requires a firmware update (3.3.3).
