Ideal extension for the CHERRY card terminal, as a cost-effective remote solution for service providers.

The PIN pad PP-1516 complements the existing ST-1506 card terminal from CHERRY and supports modern, mobile working models in healthcare.

The easily disinfected device allows healthcare providers – in combination with a VPN connection and the electronic healthcare professional ID card (eHBA) – to enter their PIN in a legally compliant manner while working from home or on the go. The qualified electronic signature, for example for electronic medical letters or prescriptions, is reliably triggered via the stationary card terminal in the doctor's office or pharmacy.

The digitalization of healthcare not only brings new technological possibilities, but also changes the organization of everyday practice. The CHERRY eHealth PIN pad PP-1516 enables documents to be signed regardless of location – thereby creating more flexibility for healthcare providers and their teams.

Here's how it works – 4 steps to remote PIN entry

  1. Before use, the PIN pad is paired once with the card terminal in the practice from the remote workstation.
  2. The PIN pad connects to a PC or laptop in your home office via USB. A VPN connection to the practice is required.
  3. You can securely enter your PIN at the PIN pad from home or on the go.
  4. This ensures that the signature is triggered legally securely in practice via the card terminal and eHBA.

"Signing ePrescriptions and eAUs directly from home after video consultations or on weekends – this saves time, reduces patient traffic, conserves resources, and increases our working comfort. What sounds unspectacular is a real milestone in our practice organization: We can free up practice space and offer young parents new opportunities to combine childcare and patient care while working from home. A win-win-win for the practice, patients, and doctors."
